Was there ever a person in your life that had inspired you to do something or just astonishes you with their achievements? For me that’s my boss and beloved friend Karlene Karst.
Exactly 3 year ago, after graduating from Business School I was blessed to get a job as an Inside Sales Representative with Karlene at GAB Innovations Inc. To be perfectly honest I had no idea what it was exactly that I wanted to do after graduation! All I knew was that I wanted to work in a place with a family friendly environment and work with people who inspire me. Guess what, GAB was exactly what I was hoping for. Everyone at the company is like family to me. We treat each other with respect, have fun, and laugh lots (the secret ingredient for a happy workplace). J
P.S. – we also do occasional online shopping on our break time lol
To begin with I was always health conscious and wanted to keep life healthy, fun, and balanced! Working at GAB really allowed me to expand my knowledge and learn more science-based information about food and supplements.
I love what Karlene is doing in the health industry. Educating people about the importance of Omega 3 foods; incorporating healthy fats into daily life style, and also keeping life fun and balanced. She inspires me every day as a loving mom, amazing wife, trusting friend, stylish fashionista, and last but not the least a woman entrepreneur. I call her a “Super Woman”!
Working closely with Karlene was a perfect learning curve for me and the “aha” moment. I realized that this is exactly what I want to pursue in my career. Helping people to improve their health and educating them about the importance of real food along with supplementation.
Not long after I joined the Institute of Holistic Nutritionists in January 2015 – I haven’t looked back since. Working full time and going to school is somehow challenging, but that’s why it’s important to have a “Cool Boss”. Karlene works around my work/school schedule so I can pursue my dreams and finish school. I love what I learn every day and try to incorporate it into my current job and life! Weather it’s helping people to answer any health related questions or creating real-food recipes for me or the blog.
I will be graduating as a Registered Nutritional Practitioner by the end of 2016. I will continue to work with Sea-licious and as well closely with Karlene. My goal is to create a business to help people achieve their optimal health through nutrition. I believe that food has an impact on our lives in so many beautiful ways. From a cellular nourishment perspective, to emotional and physical wellbeing, the formation of social relationships and last but not the least for the sake of enjoyment! 🙂
