Dehydrating Fruit for a Healthy Snack

Do you have a healthy, make it yourself at home item that you love to make for your family? 

I have to say that I have so many talented friends that make everything from soaps, jewelry, lotions, sunscreens and more. Check out my dear friend Melanie, super-mom to 3 busy boys, and her yummy dehydrated fruit. Every time I devour a bag of this fruit, it makes me want to invest in a dehydrator. 

Dehydrated fruit made at home is done at low-temperature, with no added sugars or preservatives. The sulphites that are community used as a preservative in store-bought dried fruit are problematic for the gastrointestinal tract and can cause a lot of gas and bloating. Not to mention sulphites can also cause other  allergic response from skin rashes to asthma-like symptoms.
